Bossier Parish Divorce Records

Divorce cases, heard in the District Court, generate paperwork, such as divorce decrees, that members of the public can use for other legal proceedings, namely name changes, remarriage, tax filings, and other processes that require proof of divorce.

Other information and documents associated with divorce cases include division of property, alimony, submitted financial statements and property files during divorce trials, and, when children are involved, child custody, support, and visitation arrangements.

The Bossier Parish Clerk of Court can provide these records to requesting members of the public. Interested parties can contact the office in person or by phone to inquire about the details required to obtain copies of or view files in person. However, records like child custody and support documents are not available to the public.
